$100 Royal Canin SPAYED/NEUTERED™ Food Giveaway!!

GIVEAWAY CLOSED

Cat overpopulation is a problem and we know that spaying or neutering our cats is an important step in preventing it. According to Royal Canin, 88% of pet cats are spayed or neutered and this physical alteration, albeit beneficial, effects kitty's body in many ways:

30% decrease in energy needs + 20% increase in appetite = 3.4 times more likely to be overweight.

Steve Dale, certified behaviorist, author and host of "Steve Dale's Pet World" radio show chimes in with, "Feline obesity is an epidemic and can lead to other health issues such as diabetes, arthritis and non-allergic skin condition."

In August, when I introduced you to Royal Canin's SPAYED/NEUTERED food, I was getting ready to let my cats test it. I was intrigued by the science behind it; all their formulas contain controlled fat levels to maintain weight and added antioxidants promote health through every life stage. The line includes dry formula for cats and kittens as well as canned that can be used as a meal or as a complement to the dry kibble.

I have to say my cats were immediate fans. Even Phoebe, who is known for her picky-pants, gobbled it up right away. She has a small mouth and sometimes large pieces are hard for her so she refuses to eat them. This seemed to be the perfect size and shape. My cats have been eating it for over a month and are still as enthusiastic as ever over it.

Do you think your cats would like to try it? Royal Canin has offered a very generous giveaway to Catladyland readers: $100 of free SPAYED/NEUTERED formula dry food (four 6 lb bags of food -- winner chooses the formula)!
