Sisterhood Blog Awards!

Yay!! Susan Bell and Wildhair recently presented me with the Sisterhood Award! Thank you both very much for sharing the love. Now I am honored to ask the following bloggerific ladies to approach the podium and take a well-deserved bow for helping me think, smile, learn, and howl in hyenaesque fashion on a daily basis. Because I read a number of blogs and I can only choose a few, I've decided to select the ones that are fairly active and updated on a regular basis. Please see my blog roll for a number of other palatable picks. Feel free to bestow the Sisterhood Blogger Award to your own favorite female bloggers!

Wildhair: I love this blog. This sassy lady is an incredibly clever and hi-larious writer. I enjoy her views on pop culture and daily life; ch-ch-ch-check her out!

Rambling Thoughts and Thoughtful Ramblings: Susan is a fellow catlady with a big heart and an engaging writing style. We also might be cosmically related :)

Pickles and Dimes: Shauna's quips are quirky and quick-witted. It's like unwrapping a rich and tasty chocolate treat when I indulge in one of her new posts. Plus, we share a bacony kind of love -- that kind of connection passeth all understanding.

Frugal Luxuries Food: Tracey authors a series of books called Frugal Luxuries and maintains sister-blogs for the topics. Her warm and friendly writing style and practical ideas for enjoying the fanciness of life on a budget are a must-read!

Zoe: Jess is a clever writer who blogs about her adventures in Nannyland, cats, and the nuttiness of daily life. She never fails me to slap a smile on my face. In fact, I just logged on and the phrase, "humongous poop explosion" jumped out at me. What's better than that???

Why Aren't I In Charge?: Dena is an animal-loving writer who loves to run and eat chocolate. Why in the world would you miss this blog??

Lost in Suburbia: Because I am a mom, I especially appreciate Tracy's humorous take on motherhood and the day-to-day of family life. I don't feel like the only crazed Mama out there when I read this blog -- thanks, Tracy!

Janet Reid, Literary Agent: Janet's blog includes excellent advice for writers and her entries are practical, interesting and cleverly written. I always learn something from Janet.

Catlady: Roberta authors a blog about her life as a Greek island-dwelling catlady. She's funny and posts lots of kitty eye-candy. Visit her virtual island!

About.com: Franny authors the About.com page for cats and cat care. I have used this reference on several occasions and have regularly referred others to it. If you are a cat owner, you need to bookmark this blog. Go on, do it!

Kazoofus: Kathy is another mom whose quick wit and wry humor sends me into fits of laughter. Love her.

Kostopia: This blog receives an honorable mention. Kosmos doesn't update as often as some, but I do enjoy her blog, love of felines, and sense of humor.

Bravo!!

  11. Jess: You can post this in your blog as well and recognize other female bloggers. It's a great way to support other women writers and offer them a bit of publicity :)
