Housework Haiku

Dirty dishes wait
Yesterday's dried spaghetti
Mocks me from the sink

Why fold all the clothes
When kids will shove them in drawers
Seems like senseless work

Vacuuming the stairs
Is such a tedious job
Plus it hurts my back

It would be so nice
If the cats could hit the box
When they scooch and poo

On top of my fridge
A clan of dust bunnies live
I will not disturb

In the produce drawer
I found old asparagus
That looked like pesto
